Normal "today" page is 64kb?

Hi there,
I just took a look at the source of my today page and I noticed that the page is 64kb big. Isn't that kinda big? If you guys could wipe out the useless spaces you have in there, couldn't you cut down the bandwith a little bit?

view the source - there is a LOT of blank space. i think they use mod_gzip or an equivalent, so that text compresses extremely well, especially long stretches of single characters (e.g. whitespace)
