Sometimes when I turn my ASUS MG248Q 144hz Freesync monitor on, I can see these faint horizontal lines "scrolling" up and down. It's more visible on a dark background which I have. To get rid of it I just turn the display off and back on. It's happened a few times now and I've only had the monitor for a week.
I"m running the desktop at 144hz as well. For reference, I have a dual monitor setup with a Dell U2414H 60hz IPS monitor and it doesn't have this issue when boht monitors are turned on.
