Normal temps for X2 3800+?

what sort of heatsink do you have, and what are the ambient temps? and what are you using to measure the temperatures?

with stock cooling, those temps are nothing to worry about, and look about right for a light overclock...

stock cooling, ambient temps are close to 80F. I'm using PC probe to measure the temps.

yeah, those seem pretty good. I have a 4400+ and at stock, with slightly better cooling (i have the AMD 4 heatpipe cooler) I get about 50C load and 36C idle with pc probe II. so your temps look to be about in line with what i am getitng...

Seems about normal to me.

Core 0- 28C Core 1- 34C

Both cores load up to 47C with the AC Freezer Pro

Ambient about 72F.

On my X2 3800 running at 2.65Ghz with 1.50-1.52v on a Freezer64 Pro, my dual P95 load hits 54-55C, and idles around 33-35C depending on the room temperature.
