Normal temps. for motherboard and psu (on fire!)

i found out thoses two @ the top which are on fire was either my psu or mobo(case temp) The case door next to the mobo and hot as heck and the top of the case @ back where psu is @ is hot as heck! So what is the normal temps for theses mostly"

68c looks like the CPU temp and the 38c looks like the system temps, I could be wrong though. Normal CPU Temps for XP1700+ should be low 40's but since your is overclocked 68c looks about right. What heatsink are you currently running? If you're running the stock retail heatsink you might think about upgrading to a Thermalright SLK800 or if you're on a budget SK7. Tell us what your current setup is like, how many intake and exhaust fans you're running, maybe we can get a better idea and help you out more.

I really personally think those temps need help, and I don't usually say that. Follow HiTek's advice...New HSF, maybe some case fans.

Whoa!! :Q I'm surprised the sides of the case haven't caved in. 😉 j/k

Seriously, a new HSF designed for overclocking and more case fans for better ventilation would probably help you to your temps down. 🙂

NO im on a duron and 68c is not cpu b/c bios post it @ 30-40 and the two on fire or something else.

SO many quotes lol. My asus board is confusing everyone. The fan temp says that b/c my pc has a Q-FAN would speeds and slows down. When it says that it means the cpu fan is running @ min. speed. And the hsf i got on now is copper and has a nice metal fan.

FYI:Temp 1 in almost every case on every pc is the "CPU" not temp2 or :,

Well i have solved it i think! I think thats my case temp(psu) and motherboard b/c the psu is hot as hell and the side door is hot as hell which would hit this temp easy. So what is your temps? post them. (i mean the temps of your case not cpu thxs)

My case temps typically stay around 30C, up to maybe 35C (on both my computers), and that's with quiet cooling in effect on the first.

heres my motherboards program to show. See looking @ that i think that speedfan is using a wrong sensor and getting thoses high a$$ 74c temps. On this SS you can see the mb temp and cpu and cpu fan speed.

I have read that some asus boards have a temp sensor problem with programs. Even mbm5 reports a temp @67 and that cpu it says but the asus probe program reports it @ 40c and bios report it the same as asus probe grr.
