Could someone post some normal temps for a AMD 64 3200+ Vinice core? I just installed the retail version and I think it might be running a but warm. I have temp probe right on the heatsink and its reading 30c at idle, but using Everest home edition its reading 41c at idle. I have the AC on in my apartment and it right by the cold air return so thats cooling it down some. Before that came on it was 86 degrees in here and the temps probe on the heatsink was reading 37c and Everest was reading 49c at idle. Do these temps seem ok or a little high? I have not done any OCing to the CPU yet.
Also on a side note Abit provided some Uguru software with the motherboard. It allows you to adjust the CPU fan and any other fans that are hooked up to the mobo, it also allows you to monitor fan RPM's, temps and voltage. It also allows you to OC. Well I installed this mobo and cpu yesterday and just got around to installing the Uguru software today. Yesterday the temps on the probe were reading 33c, 34c at idle, 38c at normal load (loading files formating HDD). Anyway, I think when I installed it I lost 100 rpms on my fan. The max I can get it up to is 3000 rpms, and this is with the "cool" option selected. Does anyone have an expirence with this software? And do I really need it?
