Normal Temp for a AMD 1333

Is it me or is my CPU running a little hot ?

It seems to stay around 45c what a low load is on.

and 48c when a heavy load is on ?

is this normal for this CPU ?


I'm running a Global win CAK-38 (pure copper heat sink)
AMD 1333mhz
512ram
2 Quantum firballs AS 40gig & 60gig
Geforce2 gts 32meg

Maybe to much heat overall but I have 2 case fans as well (one in front, one in back)

I'd say it's running a little hot at idle, but your full load temps seem ok. I currently run an overclocked 1 GHz T-Bird running 31C at idle and 51C at full load using Prime 95. I'm using a Vantec 62540D with a 60mm Sunon 23cfm fan (the Delta fan that came with it was too noisy for me). Case temps run between 24C - 26C (never goes any higher). I have one intake and three exhaust fans.

its entirely dependant on what mb you're using, because each mb interprets cpu temps differently.

Are you using thermal compound? If so what kind?

IT came with thermal past on it...


I think it might be the read out of my A7V133 board.

I hope, i really don't want to cook it.

Put some Arctic Silver 2 on it and forget about worrying about your temps.. it's fine! Especially with a CAK-38
