Normal situations that new technology has made odd

I tried calling my friend the other day and got a busy signal...I was so thoroughly confused since I hadn't heard a busy signal in forever. With practically every cell phone having call waiting, busy signals are more or less a thing of the past. Any other situations you guys can think of that now seem strange because of advancements in technology?

using the phone without wires.

sitting on the throne without the ability to flush. (running water)

driving a car without radio.

driving nails without a hammer. (nail gun)

I saw color bars on a TV station that went off the air the other day. Haven't seen those in a while!

yep, I haven't heard a busy signal in a long time. even if it doesn't have call waiting it'll go to voicemail at least.

The new busy signals for me are voice messages from the phone company along the lines of, 'The person you are trying to reach is on the phone, for an additional charge of $.xx we can retry this number for the next yyMinutes and alert you when they are available'. Or something along those lines, Iusually hang up after the first few words.

I'll add:

Over the Air antennae reception (only channels) TV's.

Tape Media (VHS, Audio, etc), having to FF/RR is highly annoying.

Natural Women featured in something in the media (IE, no cosmetic enhancements).
