Hello,
do you think this is normal/acceptable uniformity?

(probably the camera makes it look little worse)

This is my third LG 5K UltraFine exchange unit, 27MD5KL-B; each of the units had the same issue — uneven white where certain areas are slightly darker (most notably in the right side of the screen). The problem is visible only on white backgrounds.

My previous monitor didn’t had this issue. I’m not sure if I should just accept this as normal. Or all these are actually defective units part of bad batch?

Thanks,
V.

Personally I find it hardly acceptable but my LG IPS monitors (27MU67-B so a different model) have similarly poor white uniformity.

Nice Leopold btw.

Hi gdansk,
thanks for the reply.

I’ve tried another unit (fourth) from different vendor (27MD5KA, the previous model) in the hope that maybe the previous units I’ve tested were part of bad batch. Unfortunately, this one exhibits pretty much the same pattern.

Not sure if I’m crazy, but I find it hard to believe that there are not tons of threads online regarding that. Maybe it’s normal — trying to convince myself in the name if the high PPI.

Cheers!
