wtf is Lord and Taylor?

Bloomingdales should be on that pole too.

Funny because I haven't seen a Bloomingdales in 10 years and I see Lord and Taylor all the time...just different parts of the country.

NM by a landslide yeah - as for Lord & Taylor, from what I know it's mostly an eastern company but in the last few years they've bought and sold and been bought by a few companies, so just 3 years ago they were owned by the same company as Macy's and Bloomingdales. I remember reading it in the paper back in Michigan but I don't know where the company stands now as they're not out here in the West.

i think bloomingdales is slightly higher than macy's but lower than nm, nordstrom, etc.

actually, i should've included Saks.

Neiman Marcus, SAKS and Harrod's are kind of at the top level of dept stores

Nordstrom, L&T are still accessible to middle class folks

L&T < Nordstrom < SAKS < Harrods < Neiman Marcus < Barneys < Bergdorf Goodman

Ooops, edited for wrong direction arrows (alligator mouths facing wrong way).

You got your arrows reversed.

Bergdorf Goodman (NYC) is indeed the highest of the highest end.

That place is insanely priced.

I must not be hip or trendy enough to care who has the most overpriced pretencious clothing. The most upscale place I've been to is Macys and only because my wife likes to drag me to the mall. I do like Kohls. I go there knowing what I want/need and I'm out in under 20 minutes.
