My question is I got a Raincheck from FRY's for a Norcent DP-1950 5.1 Surround Sound DVD/MP3/FM,AM 150WATT Progressive Scan, With Component Output for $88.00 Plus I have a $20 Credit because I complained to a manager about a rude employee :D

So before you all say "Aw Man thats a piece of crap" or "get a $1,000,000 system like mine" or "Dude that Norcent sucks hairy Beaver nuts" Bear in mind my final cost will be $68+Tax and I heard it in the store and I like it Plus I live in
an apartment so I don't need 50,000 WATTS.

Anyway I searched the net and I can't find out if it has Bass, Treble controls. Theres no buttons on the front are they menu driven? does anyone own this. Someone must because ALL the frys in cali sold out.

Whats the deal can the BASS be adjusted? Do you like it? The remote had no batteries so I could not test it out, and if your wondering NO I did not ask them to replace the batteries I was lucky to get in at 9:01 at the last day of the sale.
I barely got the raincheck.

Yeah after I complained for about 30 minutes straight, Never letting the manager get a word in. Telling how the service
so terrible it makes me want to shove my nuts in a meat grinder :D
I think he just wanted to shut me up. I've complained a number of times and got jack sh$t so when he offered $20 I said (in my head of course) "CA-Ching CASH" Ok.

But anyway heres the link Norcent 1950

So basically its a little Home Theater setup or HTIB

I have an earlier model I got last year and like it alot. It's setup in my bedroom when I don't feel like watching a movie in the living rooms HT. The only gripe I have about mine is that you can't power it off with remote.

OK so I bought it and I got to say its not bad!

I'm happy it sounds pretty good.

The CD tray is kinda flimsy but overall I think it is a good buy for $88

It comes with the FM and a AM antennae (sp?) too.

One thing that is weird is that It needs to be powered down at the unit not the remote. It has 50 presets for the Tuner, it plays MP3's flawlessly, It won't play DVD+R, 2 sets of AUX inputs.

One thing that bothers me is that on the volume control you need to get to like 30 out of max of 80 to hear any sound, So basically I mean its silent until about volume level 30? is that normal?

Any comments? Questions?
