Impressive if true. That said, I still won't buy one. I'll stick it out with the iPad Air 2 for now. There have been lags here and there with Safari, but that seems to have been mostly corrected with iOS 10. I hope my Air 2s last as long as my iPad 2, and the 2 GB RAM should indeed last a while.
What this performance really suggests to me though is that Apple is eventually targeting the small laptop market, and the iPad Pro is just their way of getting their feet wet. It make take a while to get there, but Apple is looking pretty good in chip design.
