NOOOOOOOOO!!! UPS, Fedex & DHL experiencing weather delays!!!

I work at the fedex ground hub in Columbus, OH and beleive me we have had it rough for the past 2 days there. Wednesday we had 60 some people call off of the day and twilight shift, not to mention trucks just sporadically showed up, there was never a consistent work load. The stuff is on the way but its hard to say just how much longer it will be.

I ordered an Epson R800 from Newegg the end of Nov. It was shipped 12/1
and scheduled for delivery on 12/6. It never showed up and I had to file a
claim. Asked newegg for a replacement instead of refund. The replacement
is scheduled for delivery by 4:30pm today. Last check shows it arriving in
Memphis,TN at 11pm last nite. I put off leaving for Christmas to wait for it
because it was supposed to be a gift. If it doesn't come tomorrow, I'll be
leaving empty handed and won't be back for a week 🙁

I realize stuff happens, but this is discouraging. I was going to order a
bunch of other stuff,but ended up buying it elsewhere. If newegg doesn't
start offering another shipper, I'll have to find someone else.
 
Mine has a reschedueled delivery for today but its still in Kentucky 😀
 
I'm with you man. I ordered a Plextor PX-712SA drive (SATA 12x DVD burner/48x CD burner) from NewEgg for Christmas. It made it all the way to my city in 24 hours and is now stuck at the delivery facility a few miles from my house because of the weather...
 
hmmm... the ups guy just pulled up to my house here in central ohio and dropped off a package i orderd...

and this is the part in central ohio that got hit with the icestorm...

I work for UPS, turns out over 1000 next day air packages for our area are stuck in Louisville and they'll advance them as they can. The guys who are on their routes will have Next Day air delivered to them for delivery.
Anything else that is hung up won't get delivered, even if it does get to the center.

i hope your stuff arrives! mine's still in kentucky, and scheduled to arrive to my place (Bay Area) today. Sounds fine and all...but i'm not very optimistic since this was the last update on the tracking log:
