NOOOO!! I miss powerstrip 2.78

Okay major problem here... I upgrade to xp... well dual booting with 2k but that odesn't matter... ANYWAYS my main os is now xp. I'm all happy and it's fast/stable and looks good. I go to install Powerstrip 2.78 and BAM doesn't work in xp. NOOO! So I guess I have to upgrade to 3.0. I go get 3.0 and install it and do whatever and I notice something is missing....

THERE IS NO BUTTON TO "turn monitor off" AHHHHHHHHH

Every night me and my roomie sooner or later decide to go to bed.... normaly i used to right click on powerstrip icon.. powersaving - turn monitor off. And hte room would get nice and dark.

NOW tho... without my handy 'turn monitor off' button, for 30 minutes my monitor lights the room up.

I could change it to 10 or 5 or whatever, but I don't want my monitor turning on and off 50 times a day....

I NEED A "turn monitor off" button!

anyone have any suggestions?

WTF. You can reach 20 cm to reach your monitor's power button to turn it off manually?

i dont know where ppl got that from. if you have any links as to why that is please post it. or if you have scientific explanation you can explain as well. any one did actual test on it?

turning a computer off and on is supposed to be bad cause of stuff heating up and cooling off... when the monitor is in suspend the tube is off but the other electronic stuff stays warm

thats what someone else siad once...
