Works... That's ridiculous.

Not sure whether to pull the trigger -- still dreaming of the $200 Tab that got away.

The only thing that'd worry me about the CPO Nook Color is the fact that not all NC's are created equal. I returned my first one due to a stuck pixel right in the middle of the screen and a couple elsewhere, along with a strange flicker issue. dougp I believe went through 2 or 3 before he got one that was acceptable - and there are new in box retail units. With CPO units, you won't have this luxury.

Not when you buy them pre-owned and refurbed :p

B&N already made their cash on these, if this reseller got them through some type of buyout program. If they're refurbs from product returns, then it's a nice tax write off. Also, this is a pretty low % of the units they sell.

Like I said, 25% is good. Especially when you consider that many electronics manufacturers survive on 8-12%.

Hopefully, the manufacturer's warranty will cover those issues, these CPO's come with a 1 year manuf warranty, although you'll likely have to mail them in for replacement.

If you RMA with B&N they pay shipping both ways. They even let me keep both chargers. They are a great tech company for their customers, probably because they don't have the experience of real tech companies.

It's either a new e-ink version or a big 10" LCD model. Hell, maybe it's both, a 10" color e-ink for $500.

It's on sale for $199 today with no coupons. Haven't tried stacking a coupon on top because, well, I got a Tab. ;)
