Noobie Question bout WoW

So i finally succumbed to the temptations of WoW and bought myself a copy. But does it come with a standard 1 mo subscription or will I have to pay for that as well?

It says on the box that you get 30 days free. Amazon.com is selling it for $45 now. Time to get my copy... or maybe I should wait till it appears in Office Depot's bargain bin.
