To overclock lets say an opteron do you need the premium expensive memory or is value memory okay?

The way i see it

Premium memory = more garanteed; higher tolerances
Value Memory = other people have had success with, but MUCH more hit or miss; my value RAM only tolerates 13 Mhz over nominal; my brothers goes up to 34 Mhz over nominal, both are Corsiar VS. requires even more finesse when OCing.

Heres a review from else where on the site: http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.aspx?i=2392

snizzle, I'm using GEIL value on a 166 divider. Fastest I've had it up to is 237 which is memtest & Prime95 stable with 0.1v above stock. This memory will go faster, check this 3Dvelocity review.
