Noobie and MACfanboy need help configuring a RAID 0 startup drive?

Could anyone tell me what steps to take to successfully configure two HDs as a RAID 0 startup drive? My room-mate is futzing with the bios right now but we really don't know what we are doing since I'm a MACfanboy and my roommate is a total noob!
