Noob Ram Question

My motherboard's manual says I can only put in 184 pin ddr266 ram. What happens if I put in faster ram?

Actually it will just clock to the lower speed.

Go to crucial and put in your MB model and then buy.

Aww.. That sucks. I wanted to get ddr 333 ram.

You can BUT it will run at 266

Why spend the money?

Get quality DDR266 memory and you will be all set.

Ok. Does anybody know of any good computer stores that sell ddr 266 ram in canada? I don't like paying all that shipping and handling stuff.

Also, does anybody know what pc thingy of ddr 266 is? Is it PC2700?
