So I've currently got an iPhone 4S on AT&T but am extremely interested in grabbing a "google experience" SGS 4 come end of June. Would I be able to use that for a few months on AT&T until my contract is up, then potentially jump over to T-Mo--taking the SGS4 with me? Tried poking around a little bit for info but didn't have much luck finding out how to go about doing this.

Yes. You can take it with you.

I'd assumed so. Thanks. Would I just need to call them to move my number over from my 4S to the new phone before I left?

If you're staying on ATT for a little while then you can just throw the SIM from your 4S into the S4. When you transfer to T-Mobile they'll be able to transfer your number, I'm not sure if they can do it over the phone but I've done it many times(I've actually had my current phone number on all 4 carriers).

One thing I think you may have to remember is to get your number transferred BEFORE you cancel your ATT account, go to T-mobile and have them transfer your number, and then after it's transferred make sure your account has been canceled with ATT (usually it's automatically canceled when you transfer the number).

Remember to turn off iMessage on your 4S before you switch to the S4.

Ah, palindromic phone selection. Nice.
