Noob question: What is VIVO?

I'm gonna buy a 6600GT, and am thinking of getting the MSI one since it has video-in. Will I be able to connect the TV cable line to it and watch TV, record, etc?

The MSI website says:
"On-chip video encoder and motion estimation engine provides fast, high-quality encoding
from TV tuner"

Does this mean I will need a seperate TV tuner card, or will the 6600GT be enough?
😕
All help is appreciated.

VIVO means video in video out. You will need a separate TV tuner for it though. Like a cable box or satalite dish, not necessarily a TV tuner card though.

You could just connect the video out from your TV/VCR to the video in on your card. Don't forget to hook up the audio as well.
