Noob question regarding RAM

Alright, sorry for these noob questions, but I just spent a while looking at the manual and I can't figure this out. Maybe it doesn't matter.

I have one stick (1GB) of Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800 RAM. I just got the Gigabyte 965P-DS3 Motherboard. This is a dumb question, but which slot does it go into? I've labeled them in the diagram below:

Theoretically you can put it in any slot, but slot 1 usually works best on any board (although there have been occasional boards that say the last slot, but if it mattered, it would specify it in the manual).
