NOOB question: Fresh install of Vista

I just built my new AMD system.

I downloaded Microsoft's latest Vista beta from their website. Is there a step by step fresh installation link somewhere? I tried a few google searches without luck.

Is it as simple as burning the ISO image on a DVD and then installing like a normal Windows XP installation? I have access to Roxio Easy CD / DVD Creator 6 and 7.5 versions.

Thanks for any responses.

Create your dvd from the iso, make your dvd player the first boot device and boot it. It will do a clean install on a blank hard drive or a blank partition on an existing hard drive. It's also supposed to be able to update XP but for some reason I didn't have that option. You'll need an install key and you're mgood to go.

Hmmm thanks. Why didnt Microsoft give me an "Install key" when I downloaded Vista from their website? I dont see anything emailed to me at my Hotmail account when I registered on their website...

From what I've been reading you use the key from the public beta of a couple of months ago. I don,t think a key is provided for those who only downlosded the pre RC candidate beta. I may be wrong on this.

I download both the Beta 2 and RC1. Only the Beta 2 came with a CD Key. I just used my Beta 2 key for RC1. All of the Beta keys should be multi-install, so just PM me...
