In a laptop either a Pentium dual core or a centrino core 2 duo?

Im not sure what the clock, cache, or fsb speeds were. My g/f's cousin told me she ordered a laptop and it was supposed to have the core 2 but because it was late/and they were having problems they gave her one with the dual core instead. The first one was a gateway and the new one is a vaio. No price difference. what do you guys think. I look around but it doesnt seem like that big of a difference between the two. What did I miss?

ok seems like what she has now is a http://processorfinder.intel.c...tails.aspx?sspec=sla4k

im looking for the old one. found it Centrino Core? 2 Duo Processor T5200

If they run at same speed, t5200 is better, because 2mb cache vs 1mb on dual core

The 1 meg cache cpu may use less energy, if battery life is a concern.
