noob question about s-video

i just connected a s-video cable from my computer to an old tv. everything looks good but theres no sound from my tv. is my tv supposed to produce the sound or wat?

S-Vid only carries the vid signal- you will need to hook your sound card up to your AV setup to get audio.

wat cables do u use to hook up the sound card to the a/v? any recommendations?

wow, i wish i knew about this site. just bought a generic svideo cable for $20 at frys when they hav it here for less than $4. anyway, thanks alot.
