noob q: radeon mobility: shared memory?

This is for a student of mine who has a laptop; I've never owned one. He wants to know if his radeon mobility video chip shares system memory. I googled it and got differing results so I got lazy and ran here.

He wants to know if he can expand or reduce the memory he shares if it does share system memory. Sorry to have a lazy question but I'm dumb like that.
