Noob putting together a water cooling system

Hi everyone, putting together a water cooling system and wanted to know if the following system will be ok. I am very new to water cooling so please spot the obvious as well hehe.

1) D-TEK FuZion Universal CPU Waterblock - 1/2"
2) Laing D5 Vario/Swiftech MCP655 Inline 12V DC Pump
3) Thermochill PA120.3 Radiator (Barb Type : Translucent Polypropylene)
4) 7/16" ID (5/8" OD) Masterkleer General Purpose Clear PVC Tubing
5) 1/2" OD T-Fitting (for 1/2" and 7/16" ID Tubing)
6) Danger Den Delrin FillPort
7) Thermochill PA120.3 Fan Shroud
8) UV Reactive Pentosin G11 Coolant Additive (Blue) - 4oz.
9) 120mm Yate Loon D12SM-12 Case Fan - Black (70.5 CFM, 33 dBA) - Qty 3

everything looks good.

However that thermochill plastic barb is prone to leaking.

You should use some plumbers tape of find a metal replacement barb for it.

Also, are you cooling a quadcore? or a dual core?

Quadcores have been shown to be better on an apogeeGTX over a d-tek fusion, you get more stable temps across all 4 cores. Larger cooling area on the GTX vs Fusion.

For that kind of system, i would also recomend a gpu block. That PA should handle it without a skip in its heartbeat.

I dont think I can find a metal replacement barb for it. think I will just stick with plumber's tape 🙁

I will be cooling a Q6600 on this setup, let me see if the GTX is available from the same store.

I am little scared to add a GPU water block becuase AFAIK, removing the heat sink from the vid card voids the warranty. If I am wrong, please correct me but that was my thinking.

Also I am thinking about getting the mountain mod case, do you see any other components I would need to accomodate this setup into the case?

Thanks for the reply kamel. Will take a look at it.

I have one more question. I am shipping this internationally, so I don't want to miss anything. If I use this setup as above, is there anything I might need? I want to eliminate any additional shipping at all. Please do let me know. I don't know if I can get any additional things from out here.

You all mean teflon tape? I think so.

Not sure what you mean... 😕

Anyhoo, few more things on my mind:

1) Any more barbs required to interface with the pump, cpu block or anythign else?
2) Any additional things required to mount this into a mountain mod UFO?

you may need some screws. There on petras web site.

But everything else looks good. I hope you can get some zipties over there. You'll need some sort of clamps.
