noob: printer question plz help

I have very little knowledge on printer, but here what i'm for.
1. Looking for something basic paper printing
2. Planning to do some photo printing

Is there a multifunction printer that will do both?
Any suggestion on certain model?
 
Look at the Canon pixma range. Their not the cheapest, but they do offer good value for money over the long-term.

Also, look for a printer with atleast 4 ink cartridgfes (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black). This way you don't need to trow away a colour cartridge just because one of the colours is empty.
