noob overclocking questions

I'm probably gonna go the overclocking route on my next computer since I like to tinker around with machinery. I plan to have a watercooled system but I'll probably go with the external kits because I've read somewhere that they're quiter than the ones installed inside a case(having a quiet computer is one of my number one concerns). Anyways, here are my questions.

Is it better the run a cpu at a lower fsb and a higher mutiplier or is it better the other way around?

What kind of life should I expect a mobile barton to if I volt it up to 1.65(I'm guessing it won't die any sooner than a regular barton as they run at the same voltage)?

And finally, what kind of ram should I use? Is it really worth the money to buy "name brand" ram vs. something from Best Buy?

Higher Bus, V's depend on the Square's performance, and RAM will vary but Name Brands will back their advised speed

It is better to run the fsb at the highest stable point you can.

As for life expectancy of the chip running at 1.65 its going to last many years, you normally don't run into trouble unless you run your chip hot and at a high vcore.

If your looking for good inexpensive ram I suggest kingston value ram or geil. If your looking for high quality ram OCZ makes great memory. Make sure to buy at least pc3200 with decent timings.
