Now... I know this has probably been asked before, but I need an answer farily soon, and havn't been able to find what I'm looking for from the forums OR via google. So here I go.
If I have a mobo (Asrock dual sata2 939) that says it can run DDR400 RAM, can I put some DDR500 Ram in it, overclock the FSB to 250, and still have it run? For CPU and cooling I'm using an X2 3800 with a good dedicated watercooling loop (GPU isn't cooled via WC) so I think I'm fine in that department.
If this is completely obvious, or impossible, just remember that this is the first time I've ever OC'd anything without the use of a soldering iron
. Thanks guys,
