Hey guys need some help on some issues I am having. Right now I am having major issues with cooling inside my case as when I run any game (lets use Deus Ex as an example) the temp of my cpu gets up to almost 98 C. Another reference is when I run that Prime number program, within 5 seconds my computer is up to 99 C. I know today's cpu's are supposed to run at higher temps but that seems just way too high. This is my case and I am using the stock i5 processor fan. I need to first know of what fans I can install in my case as the stock ones suck and also what is a good fan for the cpu that does not need anything clamped onto the back.

Almost all the better cpu coolers are bolt-through designs. But given that your case has an open spot in the motherboard tray for rear access to the motherboard specifically for mounting bolt-through tower coolers without having to remove the motherboard from the case, I don't understand your not wanting one of those.

And the most cost effective one is the CoolerMaster Hyper 212+.

As for push pin designs, I don't know if I'd trust a heavy cooler using just push pins.

First bet: contact between CPU and cooler is really bad.

I took your advice and tried taking it off and re-installing it but one side just wouldn't budge. However, once I pushed all the pins on I started up the computer and now it works like a dream :D. I guess it just wasn't pushed down as far as it should and I think all that moving the fan around spread out the thermal paste. It now idles at 35 C and at 100% load it hovers around 50 C.

I would still like to know of some good fans for the case as I am going to Frys tomorrow to look around.

The heatsink megan reccomended is at the top of the heap, performance and price but you must upgrade to a bolt through kit for mounting. You could build your own if needed. http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=577712
Tower sinks work better than most and can get expensive and some may not fit your application. Fans can interfere with ram or the tower is to tall for the case, so do a little more research before spending and have fun.
BTW, welcome to Anand.

I am going to stick with the stock cpu fan as I went to Fry's today and got another fan from Antec and left that bad boy on the highest speed. Temp at idle is now around 25 C and up to 45 C when on 100% load. Thanks for the welcoming :D

Hey guys can someone redirect me or post some pictures up of what a good diagram of pressure in the case looks like? Right now I have one 120 fan in the back pushing air out, 2 120 fans in the top pushing air out, one 120 fan in the front pushing air in for the hard drive, and one big (and not very productive....) fan on the side pushing air in (I think).

That's pretty much ideal, unless you can add another 120mm intake fan. Some cases have an additional slot in the bottom of the case for intake. I prefer capitalising on the top exhaust fans and exhaust in general, as the negative pressure helps with streamlined air circulation, in theory.

Fully vertical airflow can also work, but you need a silverstone case: http://www.maximumpc.com/files/u90693/silverstoneGuts-full.jpg
