was looking at fool.com and walmart looks like it hits a new low... wondering what website i can buy some shares from? what is the best site to start? i've never invested before.
if big stocks like wal-mart are all you are interested in then use something cheap like scottrade.
i would also say that buying wal-mart is not such a great idea. gas prices are high and the us dollar is weak which equals a lot less money for wal-mart.
I think Walmart may offer a DRIP (dividend reinvestment plan), where you can basically invest in them directly (no stockbroker) and all dividends are reinvested into the stock. It's a good way to avoid fees.
