Situation: I own a laptop and a desktop (both on vista). I share my internet connection with a roommate. I want to have password protected sharing so I can sync/share between my two computers without letting my roommate have access to my files on the network.
I think I have all the permissions set correctly, but I'm not entirely sure. My laptop can access shared folders on my desktop fine, but it doesn't ask my laptop for a username/password. I think I had entered it earlier and I'm permanently logged in with full access permissions. How do I log out so I can test to make sure I have everything set up right?
Does this make sense to anyone? I'm not 100% sure what I'm talking about
(And if needed, the way I'm sharing my folders is simply right click > properties > advanced sharing >permissions > add permission)
