I'm surprised nobody has mentioned World of Warcraft. I don't know how much you'd consider it a FPS, but you can play in first person, and you can shoot a gun. ;)

WoW is a phenominal game, best RPG ever, imho. Especially for us old guys with a life who don't have a ton of time.

So, how's WoW's Single Player?

Also, I'm not interested in multi-player.

Single player is all I play, with the exception of occasionally grouping (co-op).

I don't play PvP. It doesn't interest me in the least.

I own the following three games:

Baldur's Gate
Icewind Dale
Medal of Honor Allied Assualt.

I'm building a new system this weekend that will include a AMD 64 3000+ and GeForce 6600 VC. So I think I've got the power to handle just about any new game.

I'd like a new game to celebrate my new system, but I don't know what's out there.

I really enjoyed the Baldurs Gate/Icewind Dale games. I love that D&D genre and building/advancing your character(s).

But I also really enjoyed MOHAA and the game environment and engine.

Is there a game out there that combines the two? Is there a game out there that's a combo of an RPG and FPS?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Also, I'm not interested in multi-player. See, I'm a pretty busy CPA and I'm 35 years old. The last thing I want to do at the end of the day (the only time I get to play) is log on and get my ass kicked by some teenager who does nothing but game for 18 hours a day.

Thanks!

There's no denying the RPG/building your character aspect of WoW, and the newly released Battlegrounds have something like what team based online FPS's have... although the gameplay is different.

Not interested in multiplayer? Awwww.

KOTOR I suppose.
