Noob Building his First PC EVER!

Where did you stop? If you did not format the drive and copy the windows setup file it will just restart from the beginning.

If it finished coping the windows setup files and rebooted...anytime after that it will just start at the beginning of the actual windows installation.

it finished copying the setup files, and it rebooted. Well, what about the lack of a CD key with my OEM purchase of XP Pro from Newegg????

I think your best bet is to bite the bullet and contact Newegg.
For the very fact that you have bought a copy of XP from them there is no point in using a pirated version instead.

I know you would most likely have to wait a few days to get the replacement copy but it makes sense as the thing to do.

*sigh* Ok, I guess that's what I will do. I was SO looking forward to firing it up today and gettin some gaming on! Thanks for all the help guys, I'm crashin out for the night now.
