I am playing around with His HD6850 and so far it works fine on CCC oc wtih 850/1150. But that's max for the core so Im trying afterburner.

1.I noticed with afterburner it doesnt throttle down at all, is there a way around it?

2.even after i enable unlockvoltage and enable unofficial oc, i still cant change voltage. How do I enable this?

3.what is the safe temp for this card? ( its going past 72 and autofan is doing 47% with kombustor)

small update;
I found out that accelero is compatible with it and just installed it.
I did have to modify VRM heatsink (just cut it in about half size) but it fits!
and now with kombuster torture, temp is at 55!!! god i love this thing :D
and silent with 120mm fan!!

thanks

I've also noticed that after awhile (few hours of gaming (mostly sc2 these days)), CCC crashes.
game and computer is fine, but when I try to open up ccc, it gives an error and wont open.

trixx works fine and currently running testing with 1000/1150 on stock v.
mmmm tasty xD oddly, afterburner didnt work. only feature i liked is its osd in game feature.

I can't get anymore speed out of my hd4770 when I overvolt it either, which is a bummer, because I've seen 4770's clocked at 1000 core and 1000 memory.

I don't think you should worry about the temps though, 72 is normal for a 6850 at 47% fan speed.

I get 920/1130 using trixx @ stock voltalge. With sapphires' cooler, 71C max on furmark, 52C while gaming.

for some reason, i can't go past 850 with afterburner, even with the unlock trick for clocks, i still have to clock manually as it won't save as a preset.

can I use trixx with HIS?

and does it throttle down in desktop like ccc?
