Hi all.

Hope you can help narrow down some things for me puhleeese.

I am trying to build a new high-end (or it was when I started writing this >D ) system. Not really knowing what I am buying, I found a company who offered a range of gaming systems ( high, middle, budget) and noted the hardware used in each. Not having the funds to buy all high end components, I need to mix and match.

The game I play is Everquest 2, with the most amazing graphics.

Here is what I have so far :-

Aspire X-Cruiser Black ATX
650W ATX Blue PSU with 8cm dual fan/dual 12v rails
Asus A8N-SLI nForce4 Motherboard
4 x1GB PC3200 184pin DDR Memory Dual Channel Kit

I am getting confused on which graphics card to buy and also the CPU. (am looking at AMD x 2 4800), and maybe the hard drive. I want min 250Gb SATA 16Mb Cache, but what make/model do i go for?

If any have some info on other components/ parts I need to fit and when to buy as prices for the CPU's are coming down dramatically.

My budget is around £400 for the rest of it.

Ta peeps ;-)

I would recommend getting the X2 3800+ for $150US bucks because it will easily overclock past 4800+ speeds on that board. Then use the money saved to get a better graphics card. For a graphics card I would suggest X1900 or 7900GT.
