Nonsense "English" song.

An Italian singer performs this gibberish song to sound like what English sounds like to a foreigner. Similar to nonsense sentences comedians make up to sound like Spanish or Chinese etc...

Probably like what German sounds to us, except maybe with less of that evil-Nazi connotation we associate with it do to all those WWII movies (and Die Hard, lol).

I think the Italians and others (at least from that time) probably assign have a "cowboy" in mind when thinking of the American accent.

It's creepy how much the subtitles actually make the song sound like the English subtitles(though it's still gibberish). I guess the brain tries to interpret the audio via the written word.

I've heard that referred to as "grammarlogue-ing," improv actors use it a lot. Steve Martin and Dan Akroyd used to do it as the Two Wild and Crazy Guys on SNL.

That was pretty awesome. I watched the original yesterday and I did try to think what the words would be if I were to try and transcribe it to the closest-sounding word. No way would I have come up with the exact same subtitles that dude in the link did but listening to it while reading the text - it seems near perfect.

And yes, I did LOL at "Maybe if the colored boss died"

Sigur Rós uses made up language(Hopelandic) in many of their songs. I don't know Scandinavian languages, but it's a good accompaniment to them. I can't tell what's real, and what isn't.

i don't get why everyone is so impressed by this or saying it's good. all i hear is gibberish...
maybe i'm not understanding the point of the song, but i don't get anything out of it or i don't see what the big deal is.
