Yeah, you got me. I just switched from a temp install of Red Hat 9.0 back to XP, and none of my 6 USB ports are working.

ASUS A7N8X Deluxe...

They're not disable in the BIOS, they didn't work during XP Installation, and they're still not working after SP1 install then latest Nforce2 drivers.

Anyone have any ideas? I'll see what updating to the latest BIOS will do. I've been meaning to anyway.

You've also got to load the chipset drivers so that it "sees" the USB ports properly.

What is listed under device manager for USB? Unkown device or nothing at all?

They were all there with drivers installed.

Updating to the latest BIOS or loading setup/defaults in the bios fixed the problem though... weird.
