I really wish some sit down restaurants would serve you in the car. I don't miss eating out, but there are few times would I would've gone some where if they served me in the car. Most of the outdoor dining around here is still too tight for my tastes, and the restaurants I most want to go to don't have it. Not going to pay $15-20 a person to eat out of take out containers in my car.
I'm a frequent grocery shopper... I prefer to go 2-3 times per week to stick to smaller batches of fresh produce and alternator-sized meat and milk and bread....rather than bulk buying where you end up wasting stuff.
Well there's certainly such a thing as a bad Chinese Buffet, so in relative terms, there must also be good ones.

Pandemic, my shopping runs are minimum every 2 weeks (neighbor) and I waste next to nothing. I'm seasoned, shall we say? I freeze meat, cheese. My freezer always seems to be 75+% full. I bake my own bread in a bread machine and divide a ~2.5lb loaf in thirds and freeze the bags, pull out one when I need it. For milk, I've been buying nonfat dry milk powder forever. I only mix what I can use before it'll go bad.
I'd be a total different kind of hermit if I didn't have a wife that works in healthcare and kids that have been going to in-person school since August 30.
Yeah they were just discussing resuming 100% indoor dining on the local news and something very close to the above was the first thing to pop into my head as well.
I do love eating a really good meal out but it's going to be weird.

My sister-in-law is a nurse that now does vaccines full time. She says that there have been a very large number of people who are exactly 80, then exactly 70, then exactly 60. Soon almost everyone will be exactly 50. Odd that there are so few people that are 72 or 78. They just seem to jump from 70 years old to 80 years old.
