My hubby got a letter in the mail from the Child Support enforcement that says he owes $108.34 for Non-Tanf. His child support comes out of his check and we have always been current.

What is this?

Something that's not TANF.

Is his kid's family he's paying for a TANF family?

temporary assistance of needy families is what we call TANF @ my work.

From what I understand a non-tanf is designated a the person who is "not" raising or responsible for the childcare.

Looks like he may have some back child support due. TANF is Temporary Assistance for Needy Families - a state regulated, federally subsidized welfare program - or basically "Welfare". I assume non-TANF is everything else related to child support. Is the $108 a multiple or an even division of what he normally has withheld? Sometimes companies make mistakes or their feeds to the support agencies get screwed up.

Child Support has and always has been current. The child is 15.5 years old so its not childcare.

We provide the health insurance as well.

We have him 1/2 the time. Joint Custody.

No, $108 is not a multiple of what we pay.

Welfare is TANF. Non-TANF can be medicaid, but we provide his health insurance so why would we pay for medicaid?

Is there a chance the mother took him to the doctor's and paid using medicaid?

I suggest calling you case worker to find out what this is about

Edit: These guys wouldn't know. Most are under 18, and they're all virgins - they have no kids.

CPA - Thats what I don't get. He has medical insurance which we provide (per the custody order).

I guess it is possible she is using medicaid, but she has not informed us of such and we have to pay 50% of anything not covered by insurance and she has sent us bills for our portion and I don't see any medicaid information on it.

If she has done this what can we do?
