I'm looking for an equivalent of MS Paint. My primary requirements:
1) Undo feature (more than 1 level of undo)
2) Ability to draw lines snapped to an angle (0, 45, 90, etc. degrees).
3) Simple UI. I don't want to have to read documentation or hunt through menus to find things.
4) Loads quickly

GNU Paint appears to lack undo (and angle-snapping?). I think it's embarrassing that it's even listed in the package manager.
Tux Paint appears to lack angle-snapping. The whole "aimed at children" thing is fine.
Gimp is not simple and doesn't load that fast.

Krita?
if free isnt a requirement you can look into Pixel for something that is a bit more than a paint equivalent

How about Open Office Draw? It does what you want and is available for multiple platforms for free.

OO Draw fails #4, but the other problem is that it seems to revert to the selection tool after each line I draw... which makes it almost unusable for what I want. That lines remain objects is also a bit annoying (sure, it's easier to edit them later, but that's not what I want to do).

Inkscape might actually also work - I forgot about it (#4 is an issue, of course).

I would suggest GIMP, but I hardly believe that is simple to use without looking at the documentation. I tried, but failed. :( Good luck though.

if you want an MS paint like program (but has a lot of things MS won't fix in paint), KolourPaint is the BEST option IMHO

KolourPaint looks like exactly what I want. Krita is good too, but KolourPaint looks like the best one. Thanks :).
