There is an apartment complex I'm interested in. It has two building, one smoking, one non-smoking. There is a top floor apartment available in the smoking building and a 1st or 2nd in the non-smoking building. The neighborhood is nice and all, but I don't know if I want to live on ground floor.

I don't smoke nor do any of my friends. Do you think the apartment in the smoking building will still smell like smoke? Do you think it might even if I don't smoke from seeping through the floor/walls from other apartments?

I'd say it's pretty likely to stink, why not just check the place out and smell for yourself?

You do not want to be in the smoking building unless you are OK with smelling smoke all the time. Smoke gets into everything and is incredibly difficult to impossible to get the smell without replacing nearly everything on the interior of the building.

I don't smoke, nor even know anyone who smokes so I've never been in a house/apartment that has been smoky to my knowledge.

GO LOOK AT THE PLACE TO FIND OUT. Is that not one of the most obvious things ever?

My building is smoking-allowed. The only person who actually smokes here does it outside because he's got a kid.
