Non-SLI Socket PCI-E 939 Motherboard (best)

that would be the nforce 4 ultra -- not many brands out though atm -- I know gigabyte has one for sure
the other usual suspects should also turn up very soon

Let me add a question: could a SLI board actually be the best PCI-E board of the moment even if you'll never use the SLI part? It seems to me like SLI boards get priority from manufacturers with SLI versions appearing first.

The nforce 4 ultra and nforce 4/sli are very very similar in performance without SLI mode on, check anands articles on this
Yes it would be a great and wise investment to get a SLI board but only 1 vid card atm -- then 1 -2 years downn the track when ur computer is looking a bit crap -- bam ! -- 2nd video card 🙂

you just have to pay premium for the board now and also hope that you're not tempted by newer boards down the track ...hmmm dreams of dual core amd64's .....
