Gah!!!!! This Sucks!!!!!!

NewEgg damn it!

I get the E-mail notification at 12:15 pm and by the time I try to order at 1:30 they are GONE!!!

How is that? Who's buying all these up?

Perhaps NewEgg needs to reduce the quantity each person can order from 5 to 1 (assuming some people are ordering multiple quantities of this board).

Heck I got the email just a few mins after then sending it. I couldn't connect to their site. I guess its where they was getting so hammered. This mobo will continue to sell out within a hour or less as long as its the only Ultra available. These other companies needs to get there A$$e$ on the ball get some more released. No biggie as I ain't a big fan of any motherboards other than Abit,Asus and Epox since thats all I been using over the past couple years.

I would consider and DFI or maybe MSI if they ever get theirs released.

I got one! I'm so excited! Woohoo!!! Good luck for the rest of you guys! Just so you know, in order to get the mobo, I sit at my computer most of the day and have Outlook check my email every 2 minutes.

It's been a very good month for chaintech - hasn't it.

Those motherboards sold out faster than tickets for a major concert

Well, demand is ridiculously high compared to supply... same goes for the ASUS SLI mobo. Chaintech will need to prove that they're going to update the bios and maintain the quality of the support for this board for them to continue selling which is more important than these quick, limited, short term sales.

Check out the threads (in this forum) on the new BIOS. It ROCKS! I had my VNF4 since before new years, and it could not OC past 240HTT on the stock BIOS. The new BIOS TOTALLY unlocks the board (I have gone as high as 310HTT, but lost my nerve because I am aircooled). It is very stable, and can go as far as the CPU will take it in overclocking.

To those here who actually GOT one of these board (in the couple of minutes newegg had them), congrats... You guys will love this board!

And for those curious about a good cooler to put on it, the XP-120 does NOT fit this board (although I have heard that the XP-90 does), and the Hyper48 supposedly does not fit, but the Hyper6 does (I added it to my system this morning!).

MajorPayne - When I get my board in the mail, I'm going to go back and read your threads. Any particular advice for a fellow (it's in the mail!) VNF4 owner to get the max out of this board? I was wondering what you thought about the x-bit article and how they fried the chipset going to over 300 HTT. I'm a little worried about how far to try to o/c to since I don't want to fry the chipset. Also what cooling are you using? I ordered a retail so I was going to start with the OEM HSF and if o/cing is good I might get a Zalman 7700 Cu, if it doesn't look hopeful then I'm not going to bother with a new HSF.

Great news for those that didn't get in on the previous round. I wonder how long this lasts... someone time it. My estimate is around an hour.

I know it probably won't last(being in stock). But is this board worth getting? Or should I wait another couple weeks for maybe some different ones to come? I want to upgrade now but not sure if its worth waiting the extra 2-4 weeks.

I'm skeptical about getting the Chaintech, I don't overclock and the rest of the components I am getting are fairly high end. I also don't need an SLi board because I am getting an ATI video card.

But a) $129 price tag, b) the only nForce4 Ultra board out - makes this board very attractive.

Heh I was waiting to RMA mine when I got the notification email. Luckily I got in yet again and the new one will be here early next week. The cpu temp probe on mine is busted but other then that I really love this board:) Newegg is doing a cross ship exchange on it for me:) ( BTW the first CSR I got from newegg had a big time attitude and hung up on me, she wanted to stick me with a 15% restocking fee. I was being totaly nice, as I always am on the phone)

zipzoomfly still has them. I got mine from NewEgg on Thurs. I believe that zipzoomfly also has a non-sli VIA based PCI-Express board by Asus in stock.

Good luck with ZZF, I ordered the VNF4 from them on Monday. Needless to say, I cancelled the order and went with newegg.com when it turned out that they sold out. They apparently don't do realtime stock updates on their website. So, in all likelihood they're already sold out but at least they'll email you if they are. So you can order it and it'll process your order until Monday when the people come in and realize that too many orders were placed for the limited quantity that they have.
