Non reference Radeon 5850's?

I'm ready to pull the trigger and buy a 5850. Right now my 512MB limits me at 1920x1200 in AoC. I can't play DX10 with AA, my frame rates plumet. So, since I got this monitor I think I'd like to upgrade to a 5850... but the problem for me is that they are all reference designs. I really like this Sapphire Toxic cooler on my 4870, but I checked Sapphire's site and it looks like they only have a Toxic 5870 at this point.

So anyway, the point of this post is to ask if anyone knows of any non-refecence cooled 5850's? Or, is the reference cooler good enough? I read some reviews when they overclocked and the core was getting in to the 85C range when overclocked. That seems rather high to me, so I wasnt sure if the reference cooler is up to the task when overclocking. So if anyone knows of a good non-reference card, please post it. I can't find any. Or, if you guys are confident the reference cooler is decent, please tell me about it. People who own the 5850, what is your opinion of the card?

I guess I just need some reassurance before I drop $300... thanks.

Reference cooler works just fine, but if you're dead set on aftermarket the MSI 5850 Cyclone looks to be released soon, which looks like it'll be one helluva card.

I'm not dead set on an aftermarket card, but some of the reviews I read showed that the GPU core gets pretty warm when overclocked. It would be impossible for me to buy this card and not overclock it. ;)

This Toxic 4870 I have has kind of hooked me. 820MHz and ~55C top temp when gaming... that's why I am kind of leaning towards non-referene. But as I said, if the reference cooler is indeed good enough than I'm ok with that. So, jus trying to get some opinions. Thanks.

85C mught be too hot for a Spyder, but for Cypress it is no more than a walk in the park on a sunny day.

Sure, overclocking and stress-testing can give high temperature readings (especially if you are over-volting), but the core temperature isn't the most worrying (check those VDDCs).

Well, considering my exhaust manifold is glowing red after a run down the 1/4 mile, I'd not be worried about 85C. ;) I light cigars from my turbo's exhaust housing. :)

85C is probably ok during a stress test, but lower obviously would be better, hence my question about non-reference designs. The Toxic cooler I have seems to be just so much better than the reference design, I'd like something like that for a 5850... but cheap is tempting too. Looks like that deal ends tomorrow, guess I better decide soon.

Sapphire has the Vapor-X cards in 5750, 5770, and 5870. I've seen mentions of a 5850 planned as well. This may be an option soon.
