Loser's 5 feedback rating ( one negative)

This is from him.

I'm really sorry but i will not be buying the the system from you. Please sell the item to the next highest bidder. I?m also sorry that i took this long to inform you but i was considering buying the game cube form you. My reason for not going trough with this is not because of price or anything else related. I simply didn?t bid on your item and the bid was a mistake. I don?t want to waste your time and explain you the whole detail but if you check can check the bids you will see that my bid was $2000.00 which is obviously a mistake. Any way your probably hate me now and there probably noting i can say to make you feel better. I have contacted the next highest bidder no your behalf and if he is willing to buy I will forward him over. his name is adrnaln.

Look at the bid history, no where does it say "$2000.00."

This really pisses me off, since Im out $$ for listing and commission fees. I want to leave this low life negative feedback, but I dont want him to do the same for me.
What can I do besides filling out a non-paying member form?

Forgot, BTW: As soon as the auction ended he sent me this:
Dear pentrix,

I have purchased the following item on eBay from you. Please send me the total amount I owe you.

Hi. Please send me the final total including shipping for the address above. Also can you tell me what kind of protection plane you would be willing to use for this transaction?

Create a fake ebay account. Follow his ebay account around, and whenever he bids on something , outbid him immediately. Make sure he never wins another auction again. If he sells something, bid on it, and don't pay.

if you leave him a neg thats cool.

If he leaves you a neg then reply to it saying you will contact the police for un-lawful blah blah or some bull that involves the word police.

Then contact eBay and get the feedback removed from your account because you mentioned the word police, as it breaks there terms and conditions that say no law enforcement can be mentioned.

I did this in a similar situation with a non-paying bidder :|

You can claim your fees back from eBay if you email them, and get a non-paying bidder issued against his account (He only gets 3 chances), and then block his account from leaving a neg feedback if you dont mind waiting a week before you leave him a neg feedback

leave him neg so other sellers might avoid his bids... if you have a good bid history, his neg wont matter much, and you have a chance for a feedback response

I'm generally no harm, no foul if someone immediately comes to me and asks if i can sell it to the next highest bidder and there's not a huge price difference, i'll leave a neutral and call it a day. This guy sounds like he didn't even have the courtesy to give you a timely response, so a negative is in order.

Same here, only when they jerk me around for days/weeks on end that I start getting pissy about it.

you will not be out the final value fees. Send a 'non-paying bidder alert' to Ebay and they will refund your fees. You will lost the listing fees, but if you relist it, and it sells the second time around they will refund the second listing fees.

File a non-paying bidder notice in order to recoup your investment. After 10 days, request a final value fee return. Then leave negative feedback. If he does the same for you, respond to it. That is the best you can do.
