Some (possibly n00b) Questions:
- What would be a reasonable 3dmark03 GPU score for a NON-oc'ed system (stock 9800pro, stock p4 3.0E)?
- Is the impact of RAM latency more or less negligible (I'm not using high perf mem like HyperX)?
- How about the impact of i865 (which I'm using) versus i875 mobos?

I ran 3dmark03 last evening (Catalyst 4.6, AGP accel enabled, no AA/AF, 1024x768) and it came up to be:
- just over 5800 points for GPU
- just over 690 points for CPU

Not sure if this score s*cks monkey balls for a non-OC'ed configuration....? ;=/ It kinda hurts to see frame rates go down the drain on the "Trolls" and "space marine" (?) demos (unpleasant memories of playing Return to Castle Wolfenstein on my P3-500MHz rig). Hopefully Half Life 2 and Doom3 will not be much more demanding than these....

Anyway, the configuration:

P4 3.0E GHz, 1MB cache, 800MHz FSB
ABIT IS7-E
Kingston 400MHz DDR PC3200 2x512MB Dual Channel
ATi Radeon 9800 PRO 128MB (256-bit version)
Western Digital Caviar 200GB 7200RPM
WD4000 40GB Protege 5400 RPM (secondary)
Samsung SM-332 DVD+CDRW combo
