Alright - if you want a scooter that's not going to make you look like a dork, get an old Vespa or Lambretta. Watch Quadrophenia. Get a GI parka. Put tons of mirrors on your scooter.

I've also seen some guys take a breathed-on RZ350 engine and stick it in a Vespa. 60 horsepower on 10-inch wheels makes for an exciting commute.

Get a KLR250 or a DR250, a small displacement dual sport bike is just as easy to ride as a scooter.
