Non-gamer looking at Wii

I haven't owned a gaming console since SNES and even then I was a casual gamer. I haven't been all that big into PC games except Starcraft, NFS, CS and Unreal. I am currently in my first career job and at the age of 23, seriously looking at the Wii. This system looks genuinely fun. Even though it's not cutting edge graphics; the games look interesting, and seems like something that would go over well during a party/predrinking/hungover/etc.

Any other non-gamers intrigued by this new system?
