Generally yes, but usually not a good idea.

Make sure that your BIOS has the option to diable RAM ECC functionality first.

general it is not something you want to do.

You can mix the two types of modules but obviously won't get ecc functionality. Remember to disable it in BIOS. You get no benefit from ecc anyways, unless you're running mission critical apps (like a domain server) and it does slow down your system somewhat.
